AOC Support for Contract and Court-Appointed Attorneys

The Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC) administers the Court Appointed Attorney Fee Fund (CAAFF), which funds attorneys for indigent clients in certain types of civil proceedings, including Children's Code proceedings. Some CAAFF funding is used to pay non-contract attorneys appointed by the district courts on a case-by-case basis, as well as lay and expert witness fees.
